Out of these two cells, the grievances redressal cell will deal with complaints, while the other cell will facilitate NRI investment and take up suggestions from them too. The cell concerning their complaints would be headed by an officer of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

Haryana already has a well-functioning Citizen Redressal System with a disposal rate of 91 per cent. The system for NRI Grievance Redressal is carefully integrated with the existing system.

Mr Khattar said that the establishment of these cells will streamline enquiry and action-taking process, besides ensuring quick redressal of grievances of the NRIs.

NRIs can contact the NRI cell for business queries, investment interests or any other suggestion for that matter.

The Principal Secretary, Industries, Devender Singh said that the state government has changed more than 300 laws, procedures and rules in less than four months to help Haryana be in the top five states in the country in terms of ease of doing business as per the World Bank’s ranking.

Any NRI can reach the government using the grievances redressal cell’s helpline number 8968420002 or email at nricellharyana@gmail.com. Devender Singh also said that Kartik Das is the person to contact for investment inquiries. NRIs can contact him at kartik.das@investindia.org.in or call him on 9205192101 or log on to investharyana.nic.in for investment related queries.
