Northern Territory has updated its skilled occupation list to add 63 new occupations taking the number of state government sponsored occupations to over 170. The state government nominations are for permanent skilled migration (subclass 190) and temporary regional sponsored (subclass 489) visa categories.
The Northern Territory Occupation list covers the entire territory including Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, Katherine, and Nhulunbuy.
The NT Government nominates highly skilled professionals and tradespeople who have positive skills assessments for skilled occupations on the CSOL and the NT Migration Occupation List with skills and experience that align with the needs of NT employers that are in demand in the NT’s labour market.
An application for NT Government nomination can be lodged either before or after applying for an Expression of Interest (EOI) on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s (DIBP) SkillSelect website.
