Australia's first Atam Ras Kirtan Darbar organised in Victoria's Blackburn.

Organised to commemorate the Shaheedi Divas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the four-day event brought together the Sikh community through devotional Kirtan, heritage exhibitions, and health services. The gathering saw participation from renowned international ragis and kathavachaks, and welcomed political leaders and interfaith representatives, highlighting the event’s inclusive spirit.

Thousands braved Melbourne’s cold and rain to take part in 'Atam Ras' - Australia’s first large-scale Kirtan Darbar held at Blackburn Gurdwara Sahib from June 6 to 9.
In this podcast, we bring you voices from the ground — of sangat members, participants, volunteers and political representatives sharing their reflections on Atam Ras and it's importance in Australia’s growing multicultural landscape.
The event also saw strong participation from political leaders and community representatives.
