Developer Gurinder Bhatti spoke to SBS Punjabi about his journey from Punjab to the UK and back, and his work in Punjab’s real estate sector. Bhatti moved to England as an international student and worked in a restaurant before entering the property industry. In the conversation, he discussed his plans for property projects in Punjab, including proposed collaborations involving Jacob & Co. and Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Referencing the crisis at Australian developer Bathla Group, Bhatti shared his views on debt, investment and risk in the property business. He also discussed sustainable development, environmental concerns and the challenges of building cities for future generations.
Bhatti also spoke about investment in Punjab and offered his perspective to members of Australia’s Punjabi community. He encouraged the diaspora to remain connected to their roots and to pass on their cultural heritage to younger generations.
