Over 25,000 people attended Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium on 26 October, including many Sikhs and Amritdhari Sikhs. Under stadium rules, weapons, glass bottles and other hazardous items were not permitted, with no exemption for kirpans; a standard practice for the last decade. Venues NSW said five attendees used the stadium's cloaking service, while one man who refused, was denied entry. Some community members have since called for clearer communication of such policies when booking tickets.
