The Sydney Russian Pilgrim Theatre at last, is bringing The Old Tango to Melbourne. Theater director Irina Ingman says that this is a sad story of an elderly couple very attached to each other who are forced to separate because of callousness of their own children. It is based on an American screenplay Make Way for Tomorrow written by Viña Delmar. Perhaps, the Russian audience remember this play in Lenkom Theatre under the name And Further is Silence with legendary Faina Ranevskaya and Rostislav Plyatt. The bar in raised very high, but we think, the viewers won't be disappointed.
