APEC 2018: Lack of agreement might signal multipolar world

APEC 2018 in Papua New Guinea has proven once again that there is a deep division between the world leaders. Clashes between the US and China prevented issuing a joint statement. However, some new alliances might have been forged with PNG premier Peter O'Neil saying that Russia has an intent to open an Embassy in Papua New Guinea and that this intent will be reciprocal. We speak with the researcher of ANU College of Asia and the Pacific institute Dr. Leonid Petrov about this unprecedented lack of agreement and Russian ambitions in Asia-Pacific region.
