Many people who are addicted to opium-based painkillers visit numerous doctors in order to get a new prescription. Some medics do it without a proper check on the patients previous history which might involve mental disorder, or memory loss. Canberra is launching a new monitoring scheme, to prevent such "doctor shopping".
