Australian pronunciation: if you copy, do it wisely

When we want to assimilate in a new country, we try to get rid of the accent by imitating local pronunciation. But sometimes we are not aware of the fact that, for example, an Australian pronunciation varies greatly, and thoughtless imitation of one particular type of accent can look ridiculous. Ruslan Shaimiev, a linguist and translator, shared his views on pronunciation; explained why the sessions with a speech pathologist is not always a good idea, and also gave some bits of advice on how to improve your accent.
