Helen Dubrovich was born in Germany of Russian parents and came to Australia when she was three but always kept her Russian heritage. She even thinks that her art is influenced a great deal by works of Russian artists, such as Ivan Bilibin who was fascinated with old wooden architecture and Russian folklore. But as Helen explains, she also loves learning new techniques and incorporates them into her art
