2017 is announced by UNESCO as a year of Tadeusz Kosciusko. At the beginning of February, on his birthday the commemorative events took place in Belarus, in Kosciusko family nest at the Zhabinkovky regional local history museum in the village Small Sekhnovichi and at the Kosciusko memorial estate in the city of Kosovo of Ivatsevichsky district. Since 1997 some streets received the name of Kosciusko in Belarussian cities of Brest, Baranovichi, Kosovo and Ivatsevichy. What can memory of Tadeusz Kosciusko teach our contemporaries ?
