Vera’s two-year-old daughter Nicole was badly burned after sliding from one of the slides in a children playground in Rhodes. Vera posted about the accident in a Facebook group “Malyshok”. The post provoked an immediate reaction: the group members were outraged by the situation and advised to demand compensation, some though reproached her for not checking the temperature of the slide. SBS Russian interviewed the mother who wants to prevent other kids from same accidents.
The mother has not received a response from City Council after sending an email asking for compensation.
In response to SBS Russian enquiry the Council said it would workd towards improvement providing shade over the slides.
