Melbourne will host an international film festival from August 7 to 24. The program includes more than 275 films. Among them is the 5.5-hour documentary “My Undesirable Friends: Part I — Last Air in Moscow”. Director Julia Loktev came to Russia from the United States to shoot a story about the lives of foreign agent journalists, and was among them when the Russian army began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We talked about filming, courage, and how the war led journalists to choose between prison and exile.
