The National Farmers' Federation has defended the continued use of a controversial herbicide that's allegedly been behind thousands of deaths overseas. Gramoxone which contains the deadly substance Paraquat is available in Australia despite being banned in the UK, where it's made, and in many other countries. A joint investigation by Britain's Channel 4 and Greenpeace has uncovered documents that allegedly show the company had safer alternatives that it held back from consumers to protect its profits - a charge the company denies.
