'It was really great at the Commonwealth Games' says the team coach Alex Parnov

Australia should capitalise on its weather conditions when it comes to sport, believes the Australian team coach and the seniour coach of Pole vaults in the Western Australia Institute of Sport Alex Parnov. With Nina Kennedy, his trainee, taking bronze and Liz Parnov, his dauther taking the 5th place Alex looks with optimism into the future of Australian athletics. The Commonwealth Games saw Australia winning eighty gold medals, and 198 medals overall, which is an increase of 31 gold medals, and 61 overall medals, from the last Commonwealth games four years ago. Australia took back the top spot on the medal tally that it had surrendered to England in 2014.
