Tragic news broke out early this week. An extraordinary man, a writer and interpreter Pyotr Patrushev has passed away. A legendary man, the only person who managed to escape from the USSR om 1962 why swimming across the Black Sea.Pyotr's voice appeared on SBS Radio a few times. We had pieces of his famous book Sentenced to Death on air. Today, in memory of Pyotr, a close friend of Russian program, we re-play the program where he took part, recorded in 2007. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Alice Messerer, son Andrei and daughter Reema. The funeral will be at 2pm this Friday at Matraville cemetery in Sydney (61 Military Rd), Garden Chapel.
