Selwyn Street in Elsternwick will be again the place for the Jewish street festival In One Voice - a celebration of music, culture, food, and everything else that such colouful events have to offer. This time it will also present a big 22 piece band called Yid that in translation just means - the Jew. We asked Jazz violinist multi-instrumentalist Alex Burkoy who enjoys playing in the band as well as in The Ghetto Cabaret to tell us more about the repertoire, the festival and the In One Night concert .
