Language is fluid and flexible which often results in disagreement on what is the right form of a word. Recently, following large migration waves from the Middle East and Asia, the term 'migrant' firmly got into the official speeches and documents. However, in the Russian language this word has a very precise connotation. Galina Trofimova is directly involved in the analysis of the official documents and information. She is the Deputy Director of Linguistic experts Guild and Professor of Mass Communication school at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. We asked for her professional analysis of these two words.
