Vigil in memory of Alexei Navalny in Sydney: “We decided that today we will be together”

Vigil held in memory of Navalny in front of the Russian consulate in Woollahra, Sydney, Australia on February 17, 2024

On Friday, February 16, 2024 Alexei Navalny died in the penal colony in the far Northern Russia. Almost a day later, Navalny's supporters and his family confirmed the news. In Australia, vigils took place in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
