SBS has uncovered a failure by police to check even basic details for some of 30 potential gay-hate murder victims from the 1970s to 1990s in New South Wales. The New South Wales police force has admitted serious flaws may have been made after the investigation into the dismissal of potential murders among a list of 30 unsolved deaths. The failure to check the sometimes basic details resulted in erroneous or flawed advice to the state coroner.
