Australian Open has started - one of the most prestigious championships of Grant Slam. As always, the leading tennis players arrived to the Victorian capital to face each other on Melbourne ground. This year the Prize money has risen 10 per cent to $44 million. The winners in single games will take home 3.85 million, second place winners will receive 1.9 million. And those who lost in semi-finals won't be left with no ransom - 900 thousand dollars. However, stakes in other types of games, in doubles, will receive only 650 thousand. Which makes sense, since the majority of spectators are driven to singles games. At 11 am games has started on 11 grounds.
