"Russian nights" in Sydney with The Metropolitan Orchestra

In May, The Metropolitan Orchestra will present their annual all-Russian concert 'Russian nights", which was conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams, who has her personal connection to the Russian music. "Once I start practicing Scheherezade, I can't stop till I play the whole piece to the end", our guest Svetlana Yaroslavskaya, a principal flute at The Metropolitan Orchestra, admits. She came to our studio to talk about the upcoming concert, Russian music, and her unconditional love for a flute.

The music in the interview played by The Metropolitan Orchestra (Glinka, Ruslan and Ludmilla Overture, and Beethoven, Symphony No.7) recorded live at the ABC Centre, Sydney.

The concert "Russian Nights" will take place on Saturday, May 11, at 8 pm - Eugene Goosens Hall ABC centre.
