The Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University, in partnership with JCA, the Jewish Communal Appeal Sydney, is leading the Australia-wide project - the Gen17 survey. It will make possible a full understanding of the current views and needs of Jewish Australians, enabling organisations to plan effectively and to target their resources to areas of greatest need and impact.

Data specifically about Russian-speaking Jews will be analysed by Emmanuel Gruzman for his PhD project. Mr Gruzman , himself a Russian-speaking Jew, says, that if there will be a sufficient number of Russian-speaking Jewish participants in the survey he will also produce a special report for Monash University's Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation.
