There is no sex education in Russian schools. This topic is not very popular to discuss and, as the former Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation Pavel Astakhov said, "such lessons can contradict the morale and values as well as traditions in Russia." However, there are strong supporters of the sex education who by doing baby steps promote the need of such subject in schools.
