2016 SIPCA winner Russian pianist, Andrey Gugnin has a successful international career performing recitals, chamber music and as soloist with orchestras in over 20 countries. This time he is back to play one of the most popular piano works of all times - Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with Australian Youth Orchestra under the baton of Courtney Lewis. We caught up with Andrey after his first rehearsal and asked for his impressions of the young musicians and also about the work itself - how difficult is it to find own interpretation of such a well known piece.
