Anna Shternshis, Associate Professor of Yiddish studies and director of the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto invites listeners in Melbourne to a very interesting lecture. We have asked Anna to share this incredible story - about thousands of Yiddish songs from Soviet Jews living through the Holocaust, found in archive of scientific department of the Ukrainian academy of Sciences are restored to life by efforts of enthusiasts of the project, first of them - Pavel Lyon better known under his stage persona of Psoy Korolenko.
