This year’s Russian Resurrection film festival will present a number of brand new works of Russian cinema. One of the most anticipated films of 2017 was Bolshoi from the renowned director Valery Todorovsky (The Lover, Hipsters). This is a captivating coming-of-age-story about a group of ballet dancers striving to be selected to perform with the Bolshoi Theatre Company. The star of the film, actress Margarita Simonova dances at the he Polish National Ballet and at first didn't believe that she can get a part in a film. She shares her experience of film making with the great director and is humbled to work alongside with greatest Russian movie stars Alisa Freyndlikh, Valentina Telichkina and Alexander Domogarov. Margarita is very excited to visit Australia as a guest of the Film fest
