Elena Romanenko moved to Australia from Ukraine after Russia's full-scale invasion began and found work in Brisbane with a company helping people with disabilities.
For almost a year, Elena tried to find a permanent job in Australia. Finally, her dream came true - Elena was invited to join the team of the Spinal Life company, which is dedicated to improving the lives of people with spinal cord injuries, as an Accessible Space Expert.
Elena spent 23 years of her life in a wheelchair and knows from her own experience about the needs of people with disabilities.
