On 1 March live broadcast of the famous Borodin's Prince Igor was beamed from the New York Metropolitan opera to the cinemas in more than fifty countries worldwide. But because of time difference, in Australia the opera is showing right now at the selected cinemas. Prince Igor was staged by director Dmitry Chernyakov and main parts sung by soloists of the Maryinsky Theater. Our guest Georgian mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili was singing the part of Konchakovna and shares with us the enjoyment of this epic performance.
