Travel through history: The story of the founder of Clean up Australia

Clean Up Sydney Day, an extension of Clean Up Australia Day, is a call to clean up Sydney in the lead up to the Olympics.

Ian Kiernan, who passed away in October 2018 after battling cancer, but he his legacy of cleaning up the world from plastic expands further than one country and one person's lifetime. Clean up Australia went global in 1993 which was originally started locally in Sydney after the sailor Kiernan saw the dire conditions of the sea life in the harbour due to the garbage that was everywhere in the ocean. His story is told by Ekaterina Danova.
