It took 50 years to acknowledge this bravery and significance of Peter Norman's action at 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico to state his position to the whole world in support of human rights and specifically of African Americans. The decision he was vilified for back at home and suffered ban from professional sport. Today we say: "Thank you Peter!"
