In the past few weeks, there have been worried posts in Russian-speaking Facebook groups stating that biometric colleciton offices will close in Russia at the end of the year. A spokesperson of the Australian Department of Home Affairs denied this in a comment to SBS Russian, explaining that the centers in Russia remain and will operate under a new provider.
