Russian history evening at the ANU will include the presentation of the book by A. Massov and E. Govor 'From St Petersburg to Port Jackson: Russian Travellers Tales of Australia 1807-1912'. Also Sheila Fitzpatrick, Professor of History of University of Sydney, and Professor Emeritus of Chicago University will speak on her new book Mischkas War. Odyssey of a Displaced Person in the Second World War. Professor Fitzpatrick explained that this book is based on documents and diarys of her late husband, physicist Michael Danos. We also discussed her previous significant book Stalin's Team which was just included into the short list of the PMs literary awards
