A widespread campaign under the slogan Free Taipans is unfolding across Australia in support of the transfer of decommissioned military helicopters to Ukraine.

On Friday a number of political figures and representatives of the Ukrainian community took part in a rally in Melbourne.

We asked the participants why they believe it is necessary to seek a reversal of the decision to scrap helicopters that are called unfit for use.
