Within days the nation the federal budget will be released , ahead of the election and the federal government is intent on fighting to retain office. Labor argues costs are rising and the policies are not working and despite an economy propelled by jobs gains and strong commodity prices helping improve the bottom line - rising inflation and global uncertainty pose challenges.
