Dr. Tamara Yashan was the second medic from the Soviet Union who succesfully confirmed her qualifications in Australia and opened a practice in Melbourne. This was back in 1977. This year she celebrated her 90th Birthday, and while retired from the clinic she still keeps a group on patients at the nursing home, who over the years grew very attached to her. And as Tamara admits, she wouldn't part with them either.
