In the 1960's Census, 88% of Australians identified themselves as Christians. The figures from last year's Census have shown a completely different picture. About 33% of the 24.4 million Australians now say they do not follow any religion, and more are identifying themselves as Atheists than Catholics. Hinduism is the fastest growing religion as a result of increasing numbers of migrants from India.
