The Australian federal government has announced the largest assistance package to date to fund programs for the mental health of young people. Organisations like Beyond Blue and Headspace will be among those who will receive funding for their work with young Australians living with a mental illness. According to Headspace, one in four young Australians are living with a mental illness, and Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show suicide accounts for the deaths of a third of all people aged 18-24.
