High Court rules that offshore detention centres are lawful

The High Court of Australia has rejected a legal challenge against the federal government's offshore detention centres. The ruling clears the way for the government to send back to Nauru 267 asylum seekers, including 91 children and babies, who were brought to Australia for medical treatment.
