Labor rejects Coalition's Citizenship changes.

Labor caucus has unanimously rejected the Federal Government's Citizenship changes. The government's bill would increase permanent-residency waiting time from one to four years, and a new stand-alone English test that would be set at a more difficult level. There are also questions on what the government calls "Australian values." Labor's Tony Burke says there is no need for new citizens to achieve the level of English required by some Universities.
