Mixed response to Uluru statement

Indigenous leaders and groups met in Uluru last week to discuss the federal government's proposal on a referendum that would give First Australians recognition in the Constitution. The recommendations from the Uluru Council have been met with mixed responses from politicians. In fact, the meeting itself was at times stormy with some delegates walking out over demands for a treaty.
