The United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights has condemned Myanmar's treatment of the Rohingya population as tantamount to 'ethnic cleansing.' Last month, around 300,000 Rohingya fled the country to neighbouring Bangladesh. Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, Myanmar's elected leader, is under mounting pressure to stem the flow of Rohingya asylum seekers.
