We asked our guest on TALANOA this month, Mr Tony Fretton, on his take on Israel Folau's comments about homosexuals and sinners.

Tony Fretton says he understands where Israel Folau is coming from, being Pacific Islander himself and having been brought up in the Christian faith.

However, Mr Fretton is concerned at the impact Folau's views may have on younger Pacific Islanders who may be in the early stages of realizing their sexuality and it may be in the spectrum of LGBTQI+, that those young people may then feel estranged and ostracized.
