Qatar continues to reject demands made by Saudi Arabia and three other Arab states that include closing down the Al Jazeera network. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain accuse Qatar of supporting what they call 'extremism.' Qatari defence minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah has warned his country would defend itself in any way necessary.
