The ministry of health in Samoa has rejected reports on social media claiming that 2 people in the country have been infected by the coronavirus.

In a statement, the ministry says that two males who worked as sailors on a ship had returned home via China. They are being quarantined at Faleolo District Hospital as a precautionary measure.
