USS Fitzgerald comes off second best

The US naval destroyer USS Fitzgerald came off second best in a collision with a large container vessel in seas off Japan. Seven sailors died when water flooded the living compartments of the USS Fitzgerald. The Filipino container vessel only suffered minor damage.
