Socceroos substitute goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne is the hero of the day, ensuring Australia won the penalty shoot-out that broke the 0-0 ((nil-all)) deadlock in the World Cup qualifier match against Peru.

The Socceroos won 5-4 on penalties, with Redmayne stopping Peru's last panelty shot of the match.

Redmayne told Channel Ten the victory is a credit to the whole team.
