The Quokkas began writing songs and performing to young audiences in the Newcastle Hunter region of New South Wales after 'Black Lives Matter' protests. Samoan musician Komiti Levai told us in this interview that he and other members of Quokkas share a passion to reach out to young people through music, dance and comedy to embrace diversity and inclusiveness. To be kind and accept themselves and others for who they are is a message worth celebrating in song and dance, and the Quokkas have it by the handful. The Quokkas have a following by the millions on most online music platforms.
