This book is a story about the author's miraculous survival of 1335 days in concentration camp "Silos", operated by Bosnian Muslims during the Bosnian Civil War 1992 1996. "It is my personal book about my experience in the concentration camp of 1335 days. I have spend four years to rewrite the book from Serbian to English and I hope it will be a valid document to everyone who wants to research the war in Former Yugoslvaia," said Djorodjo Suvajlo for SBS Serbian. Serbian version of the book was published in 2013.


Djordjo Suvajlo was born on 6 May 1960 in Bosnia & Herzegovina and lived in Tarcin. Djordjo finished secondary school in Hadzici and obtained a degree in commerce from the University of Sarajevo. Djordjo was held in a concentration camp "Silos" from 1992-1996 during civil war in Bosnia & Herzegovina. He came to Australia with his family in 1997 and funded the Association of Camp Inmates of Republic Srpska, branch of NSW. He arrived to Australia with $120, which was given to him by the UN for traveling expenses.
