Australian trumpet band Opa Bato has made a milestone being the first Aussi bend appearing at the stage of the hectic Serbian trumpet festival in Guča. Front man Dusan Mitrovic has joined our Belgrade stringer Hranislav Nikolic for a chat.

"This is the first time from 1961, when festival was founded, that the band from Australia has taken the part at the stage. This is exiting. We are not in the contest for the title but playing the night before the finales”, said Mitrovic for SBS.

Guča trumpet festival, also known as the Dragačevski sabor trubača (Serbian), is an annual brass band festival in the town of Guča, near Čačak city in Dragačevo, region of western Serbia. Half million visitors from Serbia and the world come to the town of 2,000 citizens each August for  three days of music and partying under the bare sky.
